Full Suspension

We rented bikes and hit up the mountains in Park City Mountain Resort. We rented Full Suspension mountain bikes from Cole Sport for the whole day. The rental was 38$ per person for a whole day. We also paid the 18$ per person for a whole day of using lifts at the Park City Mountain Resort. A single lift ticket was 11$(not much cheaper) so it was worth to buy the pass; we ended up taking 3 trips up the lift. There were two functional lifts going from base to the top of the mountain (both lifts ended up in the same place but one was slow).

Our first trip up was not very exciting. After a couple of spills and plenty of yards walking our bikes down tough terrain, I wasn't sure we were enjoying mountain biking as much as vanilla road biking. However, on our second trip up we took our time on the rough winding trails and then found a segment we really enjoyed. The beginning part of Johns 99 was really cool and Gravedigger was our first scenic-speed run which we really enjoyed.

On the third and final trip up, we took the Mid-Mountain trail to Spiro trail and it was truly amazing. Now this is is what mountain biking is all about. A little bit of uphill, plenty of long straight shots with amazing scenery all around you. It probably took us an hour to get all the way down. I wish we had done this trail on the initial trip up. There were also plenty of people taking these trail from the base up without the use of any lifts. Now that is some serious cardio. Maybe next year I'll attempt such a climb without paying for the lift.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
